I had the opportunity to create the concept of this asset from scratch. Design called for a semi-automatic crossbow with a 10 bolt magazine and three silhouette-changing shooting modes: default, sniper mode, and shotgun mode. The limbs and sights shift to change silhouette for each. The multiple holes in the front allow the crossbow to be mag dumped with remaining bolts in shotgun mode.
I created multiple blockouts with some different ideas of how the mechanics would work. When one was selected, I took began refining the blockout and with some paintovers from the concept team, brought it to the final in-game asset.
